Ces rituels ont été publiés par Karl. J. Lüthi-Tschanz dans un article intitulé «Die Freimaurerei im Freistaat Bern», paru en 1918 dans les Blätter für bernische Geschichte, Kunst und Altertumskunde. Il les transcrivit d'après un cahier manuscrit et estime qu'ils remontent aux années 1740-1744. Ils constituent sans doute le plus ancien rituel manuscrit connu de langue française.
